CO-ED (2018)

Juggling classes, parties, and down-the-hall crushes, freshman roommates Ginny and Chris try their best to face whatever college throws at them, discovering who they are along the way.

Featuring a majority LGBTQ-inclusive cast and crew, CO-ED aims to tell a universal college story from the perspective of queer/questioning teens, but by not focusing on the character’s labels, the series becomes about more than just coming out – it’s about coming of age amidst the highs and lows of freshman year.

Executive produced by Mark and Jay Duplass, CO-ED is one of the first narrative/scripted shows shot with a vertical frame, further cementing their reputation as cutting-edge filmmakers with an eye towards the future.

PRESS

... the most formally inventive episode of television in 2018 was the fifth installment of ‘Co-Ed’... the sharpest of a new breed of micro-series... Snap Originals like ‘Co-Ed’ are proper attempts to translate TV programming into a new-media language.
— Troy Patterson, The New Yorker
‘Co-Ed’ looks nothing like a regular television show... Despite the obvious visual restrictions, it’s quite compelling, and it feels real and intimate in a way that TV rarely does.
